Everyone can walk straight into matwork. The apparatus asks for a short introduction first — and beginners who want a guided runway can take the six-week matwork course.

Three foundational sessions (max 4 people) introducing the different Pilates apparatus, reformer included — the unique equipment invented and developed by Joseph Pilates — with your personal goals and any underlying issues woven in.
Required before open apparatus classes or a Soma Apparatus membership. Matwork stays open to all.

The rules
Friskvårdsbidrag
Pilates is a Skatteverket-approved friskvård activity. Pay via your employer's wellness portal (Epassi or Benify) or claim it back with the compliant receipt we send automatically. In Linköping most employers offer between 2,000 and 4,000 kr a year — whatever yours is, it is warmly welcome here. One thing worth knowing: the allowance follows the calendar year, so whatever is unused in December disappears.

Two ways. If your employer uses Epassi, pay with your allowance directly in our booking checkout. If they use Benify: log in to your Benify portal, find Soma Pilates, and buy your classes, course, klippkort or membership there — you get an order confirmation and we activate the purchase at the studio. Otherwise pay as usual — Swish, card, Apple or Google Pay — and claim the automatic receipt back from your employer. Most Linköping employers offer 2,000–4,000 kr a year, and the allowance follows the calendar year — whatever is unused in December disappears.
On the mat — matwork classes are open to everyone, and the Soma Taster makes your first one 149 kr. If you'd like a guided beginning, Soma Foundation — Matwork is a six-week beginner course; if the apparatus is calling, Soma Foundation — Apparatus is the three-session introduction everyone takes first.
The apparatus rewards precision, and three semi-private sessions are what it takes to learn breath, alignment, control and the equipment itself — including the reformer. You start safely, and every open class afterwards gives you more.
Cancel within the window shown at booking and your class goes back into your account. Late cancellations and no-shows carry a 100 kr fee. If a full class frees a spot, the waitlist promotes automatically.
Yes. Skatteverket has approved digital training with a clear exercise element since 2020 — live Pilates over Zoom qualifies, and it runs through the same payment and receipt flow.
Yes — gift cards come in any amount and can be used on classes, klippkort or a Soma Foundation course. A lovely present for someone who sits too much.
